The unstoppable attitude of the box office quits nothing behind for the action drama Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh. Just after 13 days of its theatrical release, the film is already getting very close to the global ₹450 crore number, thus confirming its power as one of the Hindi film biggest successes of the year.
Trade tracker Sacnilk reveals the film Dhurandhar grossed around ₹25.50 crore on December 13, consequently the worldwide box office total went up to ₹437.25 crore. Just after 12 days of its release, the film had already crossed ₹400 crore.
Box Office Performance So Far
The director Aditya Dhar presented his film to the audience under such great excitement and appreciation, that the film's collection in the opening weekend summed up to ₹103 crore:
Friday: ₹28 crore
Saturday: ₹32 crore
Sunday: ₹43 crore
The enthusiasm continued without a break during the week days, hence the film earning so much daily that it was hardly a week, and it already reached more than ₹200 crore. By the end of Week 1, ₹207.25 crore had been totalled by Dhurandhar.
The second weekend lifted even more its numbers:
Friday: ₹32.5 crore
Saturday: ₹53 crore
Sunday: ₹58 crore
The collections during week two were still very strong with the film making more than ₹25 crore even on weekdays underscoring its positive word-of-mouth and repeat audience.
Historic Second-Week Record
Dhurandhar became a historic film by claiming the first spot among Hindi films to surpass ₹200 crore in its second week. Taran Adarsh, the trade analyst, described the film's performance as "totally unstoppable" and observed that the film surpassed the record of Pushpa 2 (Hindi).
He emphasized that the Day 12 collections of the film—acquired without any discounted ticket prices and in spite of being A-rated—have set a new standard for Bollywood.
A strong star cast and a sequel announcement
Aditya Dhar directed Dhurandhar which was released in theaters on December 5. The film boasts an impressive cast of Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, among others.
As a mark of its association with box office success, the production team has already, tacitly through the announcement of the sequel movie, set March 19, 2026 as the date of the new film release.
Now, the way it behaves, Dhurandhar is easily going to get into the club of ₹450 crore in a few days, even with new releases at the same time in theatres.
